Dance for Film

There, Is Nothing is part of an ongoing series of dance films produced by Morgan Embry. These films address different stages of life, including different phases of human relationships, while exploring how various ways of viewing a movement can effect what is seen. What is unique in being alone, in a new beginning, or caught in a bitter end? More films can be seen on Embry's Youtube channel.
There, Is Nothing made its debut in October of 2015 in Syracuse, New York, at the Red House Arts Center. This work is an emotionally charged combination of dance film, projection, and live performance, with the blurring of lines between the two. There, is Nothing features videography by Malinda Masing, performances by Miguel Angel Vasquez, and choreography, lighting, and concept by Embry.
